This place is deceiving from the outside, as the establishment is quite large. The seafood here is fantastic, fried or broiled. It was fresh, not over cooked, not fishy and perfectly seasoned. I loved the hush puppies. And the cake display, well it's outstanding with homemade cheesecakes and 4 layered cakes, the carrot cake is delectable! The staff are friendly and moving in here. Great for families and larger parties as well. Can see why its rated one of the top restaurants in Columbia. Highly Recommend.
Really good food, the prices are great and the quality of the sauces are really good. I will definitely go back again to get some flounder and chips.
1 word. Delicious. Restaurant only had a few people. No wait to be seated. Our server Seven was very nice and knowledgeable. The bathrooms were very clean and fresh smelling. My date had the flounder filets and I had the perch with fried okra we both had baked potatoes. It was hot & delicious very reasonably priced.
Really enjoyed my selection. Had flounder and baby shrimp. Was hot and fresh. Portion was great. Very polite waiter and staff at checkout.
Always good food, great service, the cakes slices are 7 and 95 for a whole cake i know i know the math isnt mathing, dont kill the messenger just saying.
This seafood restaurant is FANTASTIC! I ordered the fried baby shrimp and fried oysters with french fries and it was all amazing. Fresh, hot and crisped to absolute perfection! The service was what really enticed me to make this review. Not only was my order to the table in record time, but my server- April, was probably the best server I have ever had! Super friendly and attentive! My experience was awesome and I highly recommend trying this place!
I haven’t visited the location in person yet, so I can’t speak to the service or atmosphere—but I didn’t want to hurt their score because the food is AMAZING! Honestly, I’m shocked their rating isn’t higher. This is some of the best catfish I’ve ever had! I got the salt and pepper batter—y’all, it’s seriously good. The okra is perfectly fried, and the hush puppies are a little different but totally delicious. I haven’t tried the slaw yet, but I’m sure it’ll be just as fantastic. And the portion size? Generous! There’s so much food. I just moved to the area, and I’m so glad I found this spot. Wake up, Columbia—this place deserves more love!
Visited on Saturday with a large party of 25 or so people for a birthday get together. Everyone was very welcoming from the time we came inside. Host was very nice. Establishment was very clean and organized. Bathrooms were clean. Honesty was our server and she did a very good job as she had great customer service skills and was very knowledgeable of the menu. I ask for recommendations on the broiled items and she recommended the broiled red snapper and it was indeed a very great choice. The fish was seasoned and cooked just right. My baked sweet potato was cooked right. Salad was fresh. I also sampled my husband's cole slaw which was very good as well. Hush puppies were great! My husband had salt and pepper catfish fillet, whiting fillet and jumbo shrimp which he also enjoyed. Food was fresh and hot! I got a slice red velvet cake to go which was good as well. There was also another waitress that helped with our party as well and she did a great job also. I would indeed return to Harbor Inn to dine while visiting in Columbia SC area!
